Meet Nadeem Khan
Nadeem Khan is an eminent Hindustani Classical vocalist and a proud torchbearer of the celebrated Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana — a lineage that traces its musical roots back to Mian Tansen, the legendary court musician of Emperor Akbar.
Founded by Ustad Inayat Hussain Khan (1849–1919), this Gharana has gifted Indian Classical music with some of its finest maestros for over two centuries.
Born into this rich heritage, music came naturally to Nadeem from his very first breath. His initial training began under his maternal grandfather, Ustad Sarfaraz Hussain Khan Saheb, son of the great Padma Bhushan Ustad Nissar Hussain Khan Saheb.
He further refined his artistry under his father, Ustad Aftab Ahmed Khan, and his uncle, the legendary Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan Saheb.
Guided also by his elder cousin Padma Bhushan Ustad Rashid Khan and Ustad Mushahid Hussain Khan, Nadeem’s musical upbringing was steeped in discipline, devotion, and excellence.
Dr Priyanka
Priyanka is a distinguished Hindustani Classical and Semi-Classical vocalist, proudly representing the illustrious Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana.
Endowed with a melodious, soulful voice that effortlessly spans across three octaves, Priyanka has mastered the intricate nuances of Khayal Gayaki, Thumri, Dadra, Ghazals, Devotional, Folk, Sufi, and Light Classical music.
Her musical journey began in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, under the tutelage of Pandit Shrikant Poddar and Smt. Baawli Bhattacharya. She further refined her artistry under Pandit Dattatray Kale — a veteran staff artist of All India Radio, Patna, and a disciple of legends like Ustad Ahmed Jaan Thirakwa and Pandit Kumar Gandharva.
In her pursuit of authentic Gharana training, Priyanka found her true calling under the guidance of Ustad Aftab Ahmed Khan and Shri Nadeem Khan of the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana.
